    A friend of mine just gave me an unlocked blackberry bold 9900 as my phone dropped in the canal the other day. When looking at the SIM Card under advanced settings, everything is disabled and network is inactive. The sim card is brand new as of yesterday, but I am not sure why I am getting this message or how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    do you have a sim card for your service provider? Have you called them to activate service for you?

    yeah i picked one up from vodafone yesterday and they said it should be activated within the hour. Maybe when they reopen tomorrow I should just go in to check?
