I've had this phone since March and it's been great.
Recently I've been experiencing issue when it would reboot while I was composing text message. It only happens randomly but it's always when Text Messages is open

I decided to upgrade software and noticed that Backup gets stuck while trying to backup SMS Data. So I believe something related to SMS/Text Messages is corrupt. Backup stops when it comes to very end of SMS messages last 300 of 8000 or so)

Is it possible to determine which exact SMS is causing the problem? Or I need to clear all SMS data. Easy way to do so?

its strange sms could be causing it.. but that would be a good step try clearing all sms, do a battery pull and see if it happens again
