Evening CrackBerry nation. Hoe everyone is doing well.

My question is this. When using BBOS 7 devices, how secure are they with a password lock? Does it encrypt your phone, can it be easily broken by authorities etc?

A password does not encrypt your phone msgs ,data etc. You have to go into options>security to encrypt to a higher level than BB comes with. BUT if you switch phones you must de encrypt your phone, back to how it was so you can switch to a new device, and not loose your stored items that were selected during the encryption setup( media card, email etc). If your phone is damaged and it is encrypted, I believe you are up a creek. I'm pretty sure this is accurate info. Any clarification on this?

In some areas of the world, the authorities will just beat ,starve, waterboard and jail you till you give up the password probably not to far off base with this comment unfortunatly. So be strong in the interegation room
