Some of us are still using our beloved Bold 9900's from 3 years ago and some of us are just joining the user base of this legendary communication device this year, I thought it would be interesting to find out what single application we feel is a must have for our Bold 9900's today.
    I'll start
    ShortcutMe
This application is the driving force behind my Bold 9900, it allows me to shoot into any application instantly with a couple of shortcut keys. I simply hit the space bar from the home screen or the side convenience key from any application and it opens up my user defined custom shortcut key launcher. For example, pressing "O" will toggle my Bluetooth on or off, this is much more efficient than going into settings or opening the drag down connections menu.
The ONE app you absolutely need. Update: 2014-img_5416.jpgThe ONE app you absolutely need. Update: 2014-img_5417.jpg
This is the one app that truly keeps me devoted to my Bold 9900, increases the efficiency of this already efficient workhorse tremendously.
    What's your #1 app?

BB10 took away a lot of baked in functionality used by apps like ShortcutMe. I believe the app does exist for BB10 but the space bar launching ability doesn't exist and you cannot custom tailor the shortcut presets.

I was disappointed when I found out Q10 did not even support the legacy shortcut option from the home screen found in OS7, pressing any keys on a BB10 just opens a search box. Anyone know if BB10 has been updated to allow shortcut launches like we do in OS7?

Pressing any alpha character on my Q10 goes to a speed dial shortcut. Unlike pressing alpha A on my 9900 which locks the screen, alpha W brings up BeWeather on my 9900, etc. So to answer your question, as of 10.2.1.2977, no. Can't speak for 10.3 however.

You mean apps that you must install beyond the great apps that come with the OS?

The CrackBerry forums app, of course!
