I as well was just notified of the update. I have read this thread. Have there been any issues or bugs with this update. Also should i turn off bridge on my PB before doing the OTA? I usually just use DM. Thanks for any help or advice!

I wouldn't do OTA. Download via link given in this thread. Then use app loader. OTA is too painful!

Haven't noticed any bugs/issues yet. Just installed about an hour ago.

It may work out ok for you... who knows. Some users have had problems in the past. It will appear to hang for a few hours. but will eventually complete after time.

Yeah just download the OS from the Verizon website and then delete the vendor files, then it will be compatible with whatever device you have on Sprint. Verizon and Sprint both use cdma, so it will work for you.

I just finished the OTA. It took me 51 mins. Time to see what they changed. It was only 3.4mb and kept saying patch?

I installed .755 a couple hours ago, so far so good. No bugs or issues. I haven't noticed a real difference from .580 yet.

I updated no problem but I am getting really tired of having to manually reset most of my apps. I hope QNX BB10 is more automatic. Yes I back up and restore and back up any apps that allow it to memory card. I always have to reset and redo BeBuzz abd Beweater Gas buddy and others. As an old BB guy I do not enjoy all the geeky stuff that you have to do to update. Just update and be done. I hate spending 2 hours restoring all my stuff. Please hurry BB10

It is on .746 for the 9900... but not on .755 for the 9930

You'll need to go here BlackBerry� Software Updates and download it to your pc. (Delete the vendor file!) When you open up the DM and connect your phone to it, the update will show as available.

*Your profile shows that you have a Storm? This particular os is for the Bold 9930 and not the Storm.

Has there always been an alert for an OS update? I got the icon today and never seen it before.

I also think its odd they would encourage OTA updates when there are so many horror stories of things going wrong, and not being able to backup data.

I've seen the alert for an upgrade before. I never do ota upgrades because of the potential problems.

No reboots for me. Only bug I've found is that it can't find the server sometimes when in the browser.
