can you save your media on your PC by a memory-card-reader? and then you try to Format the memory card inside the phone?
    Im updating now.

Google and download a program called "Vendelete". Running this after you have installed the device software on your PC will remove all vendor files.

Sometimes, theres a second vendor file. As mencioned above, if you use vendelete, theyre both be deleted.

That's a carrier restriction... nothing to do with the OS
How is that possible Phill. I'm running 569 at the moment and have all three options but on 714, I only had 3G and 3G/2G?

The media player bug is when you pause and resume music whilst utilising the wired headset, the audio quality is altered after resuming.

any news on that bug in this version?

All seems good after upgrade from .714 to .746. I manually updated App Resource Monitor to .35 just to have latest version. .30 was working OK and didn't ask for a code as others have mentioned.

Still leaks memory. Cannot say yet if its improved.

Otherwise all else works great. As good as .714 so far.

Hopefully RIM improved the wifi calling functionality. Its been somewhat of a disaster in all versions of 7.1.x. Bugs in phone cause it to sometimes not want to connect to anything. No wifi, no cellular. Reboot required. Old UMA in 6.x never gave me a problem. RIM knows about the bugs but cannot tell me when and if they'll be fixed. Praying this one is better.
No luck with this. Does this to me too, I'm in a wifi area and it stays on the red SOS... Sucks. UMA was better.

I am currently on AT&T's .694, and have experienced several dropped incoming calls accompanied by a very loud and rude noise letting me know about it. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, does this or any of the other OS offerings released lately cure it? Thanks for you help!

I have never experienced this bug on my 9900 but just checked again after the 746 upgrade and it still works ok through wired heahphones. Pausing and resuming makes no difference to the sound quality.

I wonder if it has anything to do with music sync. I never use this, I always copy all music files (2725 currenty) directly to the memory card either using the laptop card reader or the USB connection to the phone.

It's early days but the upgrade to 746 is running well showing none of the problems mentioned so far in this thread.

Seems like a lot of minor problems (major to some) with this version OS. I am gonna wait for BL hybrid for this version before I jump in. No way am I gonna load this the way it is.

I have to say this version is running very well for me. After eight hours my BDR is 0.8%--comparable to the hybrid that it replaced. While not as snappy, the os is still plenty fast. Browser is about the same speed wise, with good signal lock and strength. GPS acquisition is the fastest I've seen on the phone. I'm not experiencing any problems with this version. Colored LEDs and map nav bar are a nice plus.
