I'm Confused... My VZW 9930 wont update... It acts like it already has this one installed, and yet, it doesn't.

I dun' deleted the Vendor.xml file and everything

There could be 2 vendor files.

Check here as well: C:\Users\*your user name*\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

It's been a while since I installed any new software for a bb phone. Could you remind me where the 1st or other copy is located? Thanks.

You can find vendor file here C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and/or here C:\Users\*your user name*\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML if there are two vendor files.

Make sure your folder options for Windows is set to show hidden files.

battery life was very bad, I re-installed my OS a couple of weeks ago battery life has been great. Installed upgrade several days ago and battery life is still great. I don't have any complaints, my berry is running very well.

Did this bug actually take away battery life or was it just badly calculated and displayed available battery power?

    Thanks!

It's a Windows thing... 32 bit you have to delete one vendor file. With 64 bit... You have two to delete. I found this out the hard way, my PC is 32 bit while my work one is 64 bit.

No it didn't take away battery life. My daily average is the same. With the glitch it took me about 3 hours to drop to 90%... With this new OS it takes about the same.

Actually, there may even be THREE locations for vendor.xml to hide.

Suggestion: Use VENDELETE to delete the files for you. It's free, quick and easy -- no searching required.

Sorry for the repeat question but this doesn't have any difference, even marginal, with the earlier leak of the same?

I've never seen three. When I upgrade at home on my 32 bit I've only seen one. When I upgrade on my work 64 bit, I've seen 2. Where is the third?

No difference. It is the same OS build. If it was different, the platform and build numbers would change. The only difference would be if you downloaded the leak there is no vendor file(s) to delete.

Because they take forever to release an OS. You can still use this OS... or are you waiting for OTA? If so, I'd advise against it.
