This was just leaked a few days back and now it is made official....any definitive feedback of this version from those who have used it?
I went from .261 to .540 which was a big improvement to me and .585 is even better, battery life was my only issue and now to me it is solved.
I did get a 507 JVM error on inital install, but recovered it and installed fine second time, I suspect this has nothing to do with the actual update though, just a phone glitch.
Does anyone know if this version has the updated graphics like 7.1 (for example in 7.1 phone mute is a microphone w a line across as opossed to a phone with a line across)

Nope... graphics are the same as in any other OS7 version
I will save most of you your time.. This OS is not as good as .540.. The major glitch I found is the battery going from 99+ to 92 in a matter of minutes by browsing.. not going to 98 then to 97 etc., but jump to 92... And it eats up the battery.. enough said.

Good for you for having a good battery life with this. I'm on .540 at the moment, and battery life is good despite my having a lot of apps. I can easily get at least 12 hours with it which is more than sufficient for me to get by until i get home and i have a car charger in case i'm caught with no battery life on the road....
But the forums have mixed reviews regarding battery life, and it is not a settled issue. If i hear a dramatic improvement with this official version, then i have no choice but to take the plunge....until an official 7.1 with a comparable battery life comes along....

Easily fixed by using the best of both worlds... new .585 cods with solid .540 radio

Nice! You like to hybrid the OSes eh? LoL.. Just like you did with .503 and .540 too if I'm not mistaken. I think I will play safe and just stick with just .540
I think Phill just installed .540 and .585 OSes on his computer and then just copied .540 sfi file over to .585 sfi file. So basically you have .540 radio file and the rest is just .585 cods.
Download and install both .540 and .585 on your PC
Copy the .540 radio file from:-
C:/Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/Shared/Loader Files/9900M_v7.0.0.540_P5.0.0.694/UMTS
Drop this into the .585 radio folder and overwrite the existing file:-
C:/Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/Shared/Loader Files/9900AllLang_v7.0.0.585_P5.0.0.734/UMTS
Might be worth saving the .585 radio file somewhere else first, just in case
Delete the vendor file(s), shrink, wipe, whatever etc. etc... and install

Have a very strange problem on .540. Every time I do a battery pull and open Social feeds, (I use it for nothing but news. No bbm or Facebook feeds etc) after letting things load and try quitting it hangs. I have to do an application switch go back and its fine again. This happens once after a battery pull. Anybody else face the same problem. Not a big deal, just wondering if anyone else faced a similar issue.
