Notification Bar/LED Issue??

I don't know if this is an OS 7 bug..I'm on VZW stock .254..

When a text comes through, sometimes I access it through the icon that shows in my notification bar (duh, that's what it's there for)..however, checking it and then backing out using this method does not make the LED stop blinking red. The LED will only stop blinking if I go into my SMS inbox via the SMS icon (even though the message will already show in there as 'read') and then back out.

That should NOT be how the phone functions..is there a setting I'm missing or is it a bug? Can anyone replicate the issue?

maaaan i remember having the same problem a while ago. lasted for 2-3 days then things went back working fine.. I didn't touch the settings or anything.. just wait it out-reboot and ****. Can't help more then that :o
