    Yesterday I was just proudly saying y I loved blackberries infront of my friends. Its because of the notification lights. So I told them to give me a miss call to see the light. Lo and behold the light did not blink after a missed call?? I thought this a pretty obvious feature since all other messages from sms/whatsapp/email/facebook all gives a red blink if I missed them. What's going on? Is this a software bug? I couldn't find any setting at all

    No BlackBerry has ever natively shown the LED light for missed calls.

    You'll need a 3rd party app like BeBuzz for that.

    Gosh, I can't believe I never noticed it after 2 years using bbs. I wonder what was the reason behind RIM for not implementing it

    Yea, never worked that way. Now if someone leaves a voicemail, the light will blink.

    Edit: in addition to blinking for a voicemail, it does blink while the phone is ringing.

    Can someone please tell me what's the simplest app for missed calls notifications? something that doesn't needs to work 1 hour on your phone to disable everything like bebuzz

    Not sure what you mean by the last sentence. BeBuzz is very simple.
