Post the os 10 release which just uses any data plan for Internet, os 7 should also be upgraded to have this feature.

Since most of us moved to os10 it is not that advisable to pay a huge amount for BIS just to keep 9900 active. What do u guys say??

There are FAR more OS7 devices in the wild than BB10.
BIS is in place for all those people....and they FAR outnumber Z10s, Q10s and Z30s.

What huge amount does it cost you to keep BIS active ?

With BIS you use very little data .
With BB10 data plans , you use lots of data .

The OS 7 can't be upgraded to BB10 - so it needs BIS .
No other way around that .

If it's just a data plan it's only 25% of the BIS cost.. in India

I wish there was a way to remove BIS from OS7 Like bb10 devices but I think it's not possible

Even if you have an unlimited data plan at home, when you travel abroad you really appreciate BIS or BES. Do you also like roaming charges?

BIS is free on my Vodafone UK SIM only plan.
GBP 9 per month, covers all of my calls, text messages, facebook, BBM, Twitter and e-mails (which, I admit is with low usage).
WiFi is used whenever available for large data uses.
