It's been about two weeks since I got my new 9900 and I'm now going to upgrade to version .439 as mine is currently on .261 from Rogers.

So if I understand correctly, I just download .439 from WIND (http://crackberry.com/official-os-70...bold-9900-wind) then remove the vendor.xml and click loader.exe, and I should be good?

    Cheers

Go for .440 NOT .439 because I think both .439 and .440 are the same but .440 is the most current version. http://forums.crackberry.com/leaked-...9900-a-657896/

Yep, I'd recommend you do the .440 as well.

Its way better than the stock .261. You'll see a bunch of improvements in a lot of different areas of functionality.

thanks guys, I upgraded to .439 as .440 is a leaked OS. But everything went great, but HOLY MOTHER! The batter life is GREAT. I've been using it for about 13-14 hours and it's only at 45% that's a great improvement from .261.

Can anyone help me out with my upgrade? I've never done this before, and I already downloaded the file, but I cannot find the xml file to delete. I don't even have a common files folder so I dunno where else it could be.

I already have looked under the help section but nothings really going as it states it should beginning with deleting the xml file already. Any help or tips would be great thank you!!

Universal search " About " > Options and click about phone.. Should be the first row that says (7.0.0.xxx platform xxx.xxx.xxx)
