DLNA confirmed working with my PS3. 720p videos take awhile to buffer but look great once loaded. Pictures and music don't play, but I think that's from the PS3 side.
Windows Media Player successfully loaded 720p videos which again take awhile to buffer but look beautiful after. Pictures and music also work but can be slow to toggle and also show multiples of each file.
I think it's still early beta for DLNA since it's a new feature, but I'm sure it will continue to improve over future builds.
This is from my BlackBerry Bold 9930 running the .267 beta.
Update: Seems pictures and music do work actually on the PS3. Problem was that I was under the video tab and not pictures/music for the designated media type. Bla1ze posted a nice video as well.
ok I did the OS upgrade last night, set the folders up to share, turned on my ps3, and searched for media servers, but the only media server it found was my computer Anyd advice? Wifi is on obvisiously but my ps3 is hard wired
Its very odd, my Sharp Aquos TV wont find my 9900, but my Blueray player will. Works beautifully there, just its annoying I cant use the TV to find it.
I loaded .267 and tried this out on my PS3. Pretty cool! It can be a little slow through the PS3, but it's reading a class 4 micro SD over Wifi, so I can't expect blazing fast speeds. Video plays clean - no skipping or buffering. Music is slow to load and move track to track. I don't know if I would use this very often unless I wanted to show pictures in 46" format or watch a video in all it's 720p glory. It's great to see RIM doing something a little different.
Why BB does not support renderer?
I think will make more sense become renderer rather than server
since BB won't have lots of storage anyway to keep media file
I've got DLNA up and running to a x64 Win7 machine. Streaming works and all that jazz, but I've got an issue. When I browse my phone from Windows Media Player, it shows 4 multiples of each song.
Are others having this issue? I've tried turning on/off media sharing, on/off wifi, and rebooting the PC.
