So I've been using the 9900 for a couple of months now and there are a few things that I think should be or should have been improved.

Apps - This is obvious I guess but I feel that there is not a single app that really takes advantage of the software and hardware of os7 devices. Most of the ones I've tried are laggy and it feels like I'm using a 9700 all over again.

Browser - When I bought the 9900 I was hoping that the browser was going to be as good as the browser on the iphone. I say this because of the whole liquid graphics thing and the youtube videos that we saw. Fast forward a few months into the release and this browser feels nothing like the browser on the iphone. It's jerky at times and it's definitely jerky when zooming out with your two thumbs. It's also laggy when the page is loading. For some websites such as mobilesyrup.com I have to wait a good 10-15 seconds for the page to load in order for me to attempt scrolling. Otherwise it's jerky. Even the blackberry menu is jerky while the page is loading.

Another problem with the browser is the touch responsiveness. Too many times your swipe will register a puny little scroll. Sometimes it will bring you all the way down to the bottom of the page. It is very inconsistent.

Website crashing is not so much a problem with os7 but mind you I've had some websites freeze my phone.

So with that said I just wanna say that I would be more than happy if at least the browser was addressed. If I had a smooth browser with really good touch responsiveness I don't think I'd need the apps. That's just my opinion.

The way it is now however is that when I want to check hockey results I am forced to open up the laggy "The Score" app. I can also go to the actual website and use the stuttering and unresponsive browser. If I do this I need to be careful though not to touch anything until the actual website loads. It's a lose lose situation in my opinion.

I understand that RIM may not be able to fix the app situation but the browser and the overall performance of the phone could definitely be addressed. Microsoft did this with Windows Phone and they are behind RIM in smartphone market share. How is it that they are able to achieve such stability with less powerful phones and yet RIM can't with the os7 devices.

Blah, I'm just rambling on now. You get the point though. The 9900 is a beautiful device that is capable of so much more than just keyboard and bbm.

I've installed a couple of them. Going from the original one that came with the phone to a few more official ones and now a 7.1.0.190. I've experienced the same thing throughout all of them.

m.thescore.com loads fast and smooth. I only use the app to import games into my calendar.

Strange, most people seem to find that the latest OS's are a vast improvement browser wise from the early ones, snappy is a word used quite often.

I wonder if you have just got a bad phone ?
