Is it in your application list?
Check out BlackBerry Messenger! You can find it at Free BlackBerry Messenger - Download BlackBerry Messenger - Free Apps from BlackBerry App World
Yes it is along with BB Bridge
Is it missing on your phone, or our PB?
It is not to my knowledge any where on my 9900. It has been there after many many os upgrades. Just on this upgrade, things didn't go 100%
It is installed but the icon is missing. Sorry if was not clear
Try Options->Host Routing Table->menu->Register Now->ok
Wait a couple minutes and do a battery pull. If that doesn't work, delete it and download BBM again, from the link I posted above.
Hi, registering and a batt. pull did not work. Will uninstall BBM and put back on as soon as the device charges up. Thanks BigBadWulf
Believe it's fine now. I deleted BBM with Desktop MGR and installed it back with DTM. Icon is back!
Awesome :)
I had the same issue and went through the same recovery method. Thanks BBW!
Hey there - I actually just got off the phone with blackberry technical support and we were able to get this issue resolved. I downloaded the most updated bbm 7 (as prompted by my app world), restarted my phone, and noticed the icon was completely missing. I tried to unhide all icons by pressing menu-show all icons but no luck. Here is what to do:
1. Go to options (wrench icon)
2. Select applications management
3. Locate blackberry messenger and click it
4. Click delete
5. Restart device
6. Go to apps under app world and search blackberry messenger (bbm will be under the 'social' category)
7. Install blackberry messenger
8. You might get a few errors in downloading which will stop installation but keep trying until it is installed
9. Once install is complete, follow the bbm 7 prompts and that's it!
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Fary

Hope it helps for the moment.
Oh god I hate this. This just happened to me for the first time. The only way to get it back is to redo your os. App world won't even let you delete it right? If that is the case then just reinstall the os
