- I know that the Bold 9930 will have 8GB of Internal memory, but does anyone know if it will have a microSD card included? Or will you have to buy your own? And would it take a normal Scandisk microSD card? I'd like to add an additional 8GB microSD card (then it'd be on par with an iphone at 16GB) for me, 16GB total media card/internal would be plenty for the 2yrs I'd have the Bold 9930.

Each carrier makes that decision before official release announcements. My guess is Verizon will include a 16GB microSD, usually Sandisk. They did include a 32GB card on the HTC Thunderbolt, but not sure if that will be the norm going forward.leftypepper716 likes this.05-12-11 04:40 PMLike 1
- Sweet thanks...I'm on Sprint, and I thought it was odd if carriers did not at least put in a 8GB sandisk microSD card along with the 8GB internal one.

I wouldn't expect anything larger but if they do come with a 16GB or a 32GB card I will be pleasantly surprised at the bonus. I already have a 16GB in my Bold that I can transfer if needed.
As far as it taking your Sandisk, should be no problem. I recommend that you backup the cards contents to your PC before transferring. Then Format the card in your new BB and copy the files you want (music, pics, etc.) back onto the card into the proper directories. The new OS may have a different file structure.leftypepper716 likes this.05-12-11 09:02 PMLike 1 - Hopefully Sprint isn't so cheap and puts at least an equal ammount of GB sandisk microSD card inside the Bold 99330. Like I said, 8GB internal & 8GB card would be more than perfect for me for my 2yrs of using the Bold 9930...but if Sprint does'nt put in at least a 8GB, I'll just trade out my fiance's 8GB microSD card in her style for whatever they put in the Bold 9930 LOL (just kidding, but she as of yet, not used the 8GB's for nothing more than about 50-75 pics...and my Curve 8330 has a 4GB microSD card (from a wopping ONE GB preinstalled) and I'm getting close to filling it up with about 750 or more songs lol05-13-11 08:03 AMLike 0
- Errr...ya think? LOL 40GB is pretty darn pimped up Luckily, sandisk microSD cards @ 8GB runs around $19.99 at my local Costco last time i checked. So I'd rather not have to plunk down an additional $20.00 plus the $199.00 for the Bold 9930 anyway. So hopefully Sprint will be nice and include another 8GB card. Again, dont matter anyhow, I will be picking the Bold 9930 up the day it's released with or without any extra microSD card like i'm sure 90% of the other Crackberry's on here05-13-11 08:11 AMLike 0
- I have found that buying SD cards at Amazon costs about half of what the brick and mortar stores sell them for. I have never had a problem with the quality of their product (always been genuine brand) and they have a good return policy.
See link below for a SanDisk 16GB card for $20. 8GB cards are about $10.

I'm just gonna be dissipointed if Sprint releases the Bold 9930 without a microSD card or just say 4GB microSD card, and yes, worse case senerio, 8GB internal media would be pretty sufficent, but man, having at least 16GB for music, vids & pics would be pretty good05-14-11 07:28 PMLike 0
- The Bold 9650 can hold up to 32GB's...it was preinstalled with a 2GB microSD card...just hope Sprint doesn't cheap out on the Bold 9930.
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com05-14-11 07:36 PMLike 0 - Thought I'd update this thread...T-Mobile's 9900 comes with NO card...I was pretty stunned when I realized this after receiving the phone yesterday. They have really turned out their customers with this phone, that's for sure!09-03-11 09:24 AMLike 0

- I was pretty far off guessing they would include a 16GB after including a 32GB in the Thunderbolt. First device I've bought in a while that didn't come with at least a 2GB card. Meh09-03-11 12:23 PMLike 0
- The 9930 on Verizon does NOT come with a MicroSD card, unfortunately. Each carrier decides what extra accessories they are going to incloude with their model. In my case I got a belt pouch, USB cord and US (not global) charging block, but no Memory card and no headphones.
I don't know for sure about sprint but the website (Sprint) should list included accessories on the order page.09-03-11 12:34 PMLike 0 -
- I just picked up a current SanDisk model micro SDHC card from ebay (16GB) for 30 bucks (factory sealed.) That's an excellent price.YourMobileGuru and Guatiao like this.09-03-11 12:37 PMLike 2
