I'm pretty sure that it started with 7.1, but recently my media player has been acting up horribly. Whenever I'm playing music, it could take less than 10 minutes before it happens. A song will finish, and then the player would not react to anything. New songs don't open, videos don't play. After a little bit I get an error message that the media player has crashed. After that whenever I play anything I get a message that the media capabilities are fully in use.

Does this happen to anyone else?

    Which OS are you using?

I have 7.1.0.267 and have experienced the same thing as you. I did not experience this on 7.1.0.163.

Yeah, I'm on 7.1.0.267 too. I think that it used to happen sometimes in the past, but WAY less often than now. It didn't use to be a bother, but now it happens almost every time that I play music, real bummer. I hope the next update irons that out.

Yesterday it was skipping like a cd would, but in a 1 second loop. It was kinda hilarious, but aggravating.

.267 is very buggy when it comes to the media player, or at least in my experience. My main issue was with the volume, and how it would increase if i pause/play a song.

I listen to music in my car through my Bold everyday on my drive to and from work and haven't had any issues. I've got a 9930 running .267.

Could it be a format thing? My music is mostly aac with some mp3s here and there. What do you use?

I'm running stock OS and notice my music would skip ever so slightly. Just assume it was a memory card issue.

Yeah, the music player on .267 is buggy. The pause/unpause issue is quite annoying. Hopefully its sorted out with the next release. You reading this RIM?!? Haha

It was resolved when I loaded the leaked .267. I also did a device wipe just prior to updating. I assumed that the leaked OS resolved the problem, but maybe it was a combination of the wipe and the upgrade. I haven't had any issues since I lodated .267.

I have no issues at all either. I wonder if this has to do with some kind of a options settings or something like that.

.267 also freezes frequently for me. Usually happens after pausing and trying to unpause. I think the message I get is the media player is busy.
