I have a Bold 9900 and I use Group Chat quite a bit.
When I receive notifications I get the notification in the drop down bar in both the Group Chat bar as well as the 'Messages' bar.
So I'm receiving the same notification double time, which just takes up space on the notification bar.
It happens when I use Whats App as well.
I'm not sure how to keep it from coming up in the Messages. It didn't used to when I had a Bold 9780.
If you have heard of this or know how to remove it from popping up all info is appreciated.
To prevent group activities from appearing in the Messages application, beside the Message List Integration field, click Settings. Select an option. Click OK.
To stop receiving notifications for group activities, change the Turn Off All Notifications For This Group field to Yes.

When I do it that way it seems to notify me with the little icon but when I click the drop down bar it doesn't show the notification in the drop down part to click on anymore. Oh well, I keep the chat I use the most on my home page anyways.
