Hi, i just got the bold a few days ago...i fully charged it, and then i barely used it and the battery drained like crazy. It went down like 6% in 10 mins. Barely any apps are running, my screen brightness is only on 10. I thought it was a defected phone, so i switched it out for another one...it still does the same thing. My curve didn't drain like this...is it just the new bold...or what? It's really annoying...no way i could go a whole work day without charging it. I took it off charge a few mins ago, it was at 100%, 10 mins later, with no use...its on %90.

Are you running OS 7.1?
Because the 7.1 Sprint Official is having problems reading the battery meter.

It drops from 100 to 92.
Then the rest drops normally.

yeah i am...so it loses 8% battery, then drops normally? Is there a way to get back to OS 7?

You will have to backup your phone and restore to a different OS Manually with a computer.

lol yes i'm female. I'd do what it says...i already did a backup of my contacts ect through blackberry desktop. I only upgraded on the other phone i traded it cuz people said my voice was going in and out...so i just did it on the new phone just in case...hopefully it wont it it this time.

I would go ahead and download the OS first.
The second link I sent you is Sprint's latest 7.0 Update.
Hopefully it will be better than the 7.1.

While doing that, I would look into installing BBSAK. (Free computer application.)

ok i installed it and loaded it up...its the same blackberry desktop...says 7.1 OS installed...so i should uninstall the desktop one first?

Uninstall the one that says 7.1
Uninstall it from your control panel.

Copy and paste into the explorer Bar at the top.

I dont see update anywhere? Just my applications and import...and if i do import, i dont know where the file is installed at? I tried swiping it and it didnt revert back to 7.0 =[ And now i try to login to my app world and it says i cant find my email?!?! And now unable to create a new one. FML. So now i cant get email to my phone...i go to email accounts and it asks me to login to my berry ID...which doesnt work.
