Were a one phone household, and I want the 9900. My dad works for att so I get pretty good deals on new stuff, but my wife wants to stay with the 9000.
How is the keyboard? We both love it.
How is the weight when compared with the 9000? Shed like em about the same.

Any selling points or advice to secure my 9900??

    Thanks

Keyboard feels pretty much identical to the Bold 9000, with a bit more space.
In terms of weight, the 9900 is lighter and certainly feels that way... 3 grams lighter if you want to get technical.

Your wife is silly. No offense The height and width are basically identical but it is much thinner, more powerful, touch screen, no more trackball...I could go on. Have her try it once AT&T has a working display in the store. I bet she changes her mind.

They do? Bothered asking them when it'll be out? Considering they have it in store ready as you say.

They said "once" it's on display, not that it is already.

She loves the trackball. That's one of the main reasons she loves the 9000. We had a 9320 I think, cant recall exactly, and it had the trackpad and we were both dissapointed with it.

Any idea on price yet? Thanks for the replies..she's starting like the idea.

If she doesn't like the trackpad then she can just use the touchscreen on the 9900! Not upgrading to this phone to keep a 9000 is almost laughable. I don't say that to offend you at all its just like saying you want to keep a 24 inch tube tv instead up upgrading to a 50 inch 1080p LCD. This is a whole new ballgame.

She will love the trackball until it starts slipping and jamming up.

QFT - my hands sometimes are grubby when I need to pick up the phone. My old Tour trackball lasted just 8 months before it started slipping. Trackpad > Trackball

I guess well just wait and see when there's a working model in the store.

And news on price? Any estimates?

Let her keep the 9000 and put it on Pre-Paid. You get the 9900. Happy wife, happy life.

9000 is already on prepaid. We usually buy the phones out right and do prepaid. Just no bb data.

I carried a 9000 bareback in my jeans pocket for 3 years. I had to clean the trackball every so often with an alcohol wipe. BFD. Unless you eat cheesy poofs while scrolling the 9000 trackball is just fine. 1000% better than the wonky, jumpy trackpad on my 9800.

The price point can't be higher than $250.00, otherwise it will tank.

What makes BB think they can charge more than anyone else and actually move large numbers to make a difference.

Current trend is $199-$249.99 on contract.

So 4-600 off contract? I don't like contracts and with wifi being as available as it is, its cheaper for us.
