To add in:

1. trackpad that is not properly aligned, either overly to the right or to the left, giving and unstraight trackpad

2. camera button that gets loose after few clicks, wobbling, though still clickable

I wish I am in the US as well as I see a lot of you guys here can get replacement straight away. Here in Australia, I was told to wait for at LEAST 6 WEEKS to get a replacement after assessment and bla bla bla. Guess I ll just have to live with an imperfect bold 9900.

1) Problem syncing my Gmail account. The synchronising page would just remain and never change.

2) Sometimes duplicate albums show up: one album has the music, the other one empty and cannot be deleted.

I think most of the times, people wouldn't notice or even care about these details. Remember, blackberry is geared more towards business users, and for them, a phone that can manage their task properly is more than enough. We are those of a small percentage that would demand perfect handset and look at all these details but it is also us who, who a lot have fled to apple and google. A blackberry may be more long lasting in a long term run but I just wish if RIM would ever pay more attention on these little details which will continue to keep our support for future blackberry smartphones.

Gmail Integration:

What happened to gmail integration? On the Style (9670) Gmail "activation" seemed to have better functionality. For example, it had a menu option called "Filter" that let you choose a label to view, including "All Mail" and "Sent". On the 9930, all you can do is "view folder" which is really poorly implemented since you see all the many random folders that the BB maintains and have to scroll through to find the folder you need. Also, looking in the "sent" folder doesn't actually show you the sent messages. The only way to find sent emails now is to do an advanced search.

I think gmail worked great on the Style. So... why the change, and, in my opinion, the reduction in functionality? Isn't this OS7 supposed to be an improvement - why did we lose features?

I have only noticed one. When I reboot the phone goes into vibrate only mode. No big deal.

Hopefully so that their programmers can all be told to focus on OS7 to fix all the bugs and give it the last OS7 before QNX it deserves.

When OS7 is bug free, than they can focus on QNX.
It's not just about making money, it's the reputation they leave for us waiting for QNX.
A happy OS7 customers means a happy Blackberry customer which will hopefully mean another buyer for their future QNX phones.

When I reboot 9900, it always resets wallapaper to carrier default and sets to vibrate mode. I never had this problem before and don't know what's going on.

This is not specific to OS 7. Had this happened to me on my 9780. A reinstall fixed the problem.

3 weeks into my 9930 and I have none of the issues listed above. Performance and battery life have exceeded all expectations. Other than the physical and cosmetic flaws some have experienced, I wonder how many of these "problems" are being caused by loading up on too many incompatible apps. I am running about 10 apps loaded fresh. Almost all of them were free from appworld. I never used the device switch wizard and transferred only data from my lmost recent backup. I have stayed with official vz Os .254.

At $600 a pop I would suggest that "cosmetic flaws" are a "problem."

I would agree though that on balance this is a good device and that there aren't a large number of issues that effect functionality. Even the so-called battery issue isn't bad for me.

Battery part is not to big of an issue as one can just buy a spare battery. Other issues need to be addressed. I would rather have lower battery performance than poor wifi and poor signal reception due to power conserving settings being set too low.

I don't know if RIM reads crackberry, but wouldn't it be nice for them to have single thread (not necessarily have to be this) wherein they can find all the software and hardware bugs the users have found so that they can fix it in their next software and firmware update?

The faster they know the problems, the faster they could release software and firmware updates. Hopefully they haven't all jumped ship yet to QNX.

Flashing LED for me even tho I have notifiers of unread messages and what/not I just do a hard pull and it usually goes away.

Anyone know the issue to this/have the same problem?

I had this "issue" also, come to find out the flashing red LED was coming from my PodCasts, if you are subscribed to any check that app out. Otherwise try checking anything that has a red asterisk, I'm sure you know that's what notifies you visually that there is something that needs your attn. I may be wrong on the color I am color blind, I assume it's red.

Honestly sounds like to me you may have got yourself a bad apple, I mean BB . Seriously though, I am not experiencing issues like that at all. My only issue as of late is the new BB Desktop for the Mac, after updating to this new version I cannot get my cal to sync. Already working with BBHelp through twitter, slow process but not really in a big rush to fix it.

I am a born again BB user and geek when it comes to toys so trying to figure this out is kinda fun. Your problems are seriously extreme though. Good luck man. Even if your carrier is past it's warranty, which I doubt since it's not that old, I'd exchange it man.
