On the upcoming new bold devices they will have liquid graphics. What this means is that the whole experience with the touchscreen and the speed in which the phone runs will be allot more faster. I was wondering, Do you think if you were to download os 7 for your torch when you are able to. Will you also get this liquid graphics?

If I am wrong about any of this please inform me on this subject

Liquid Graphics is RIM's marketing term for added fluidity to the user interface of Blackberry OS. I would imagine the Torch 9800 does not have the hardware performance to achieve this level of fluidity.

The 9810 (along with the 99xx / 9850[60]) will be packed with a Qualcomm chipset that includes the Adreno 205 GPU. That GPU is dedicated to allowing the interface to give that motion we see on the new Blackberrys. According to some of the leaked documents, there is potential for more graphic intensive gaming and 3d animation as well.

The 9800 is on a much less powerful Marvell chip that most likely does not have the potential to perform this efficiently. IMO, if the 9800 DOES get a form of BB7 in the future, it will give it added features but not enhance to the performance to match the upcoming handsets that will launch with BB7.

I don't think the current Torch or current Bolds will get OS7...

Rim has said none of the current devices will receive os 7 because the liquid graphics refers to the programing between os 7 and the new 1.2 ghz chipset and dedicated graphics that makes it much more pleasurable to experience and much more up to date. Because of the hardware difference there will be no liquid graphics between any current devices.

I think only the 9900/9930, 9850/9860, and 9810 have the Qualcomm chips and liquid graphics. I think the 9320 has a Marvell pxa930 which doesn't have a gpu, so probably not. I had a 9790 for a while, which I know didn't have liquid graphics, but the interface didn't feel any less fluid than on my 9900.

You are right about the liquid graphics depending on the chip set and not the screen.
