Okay so i know that this device is actually a limited edition and something you wont find in a retail shop and cant buy it anywhere, so my question is who uses this and how they get them because seriously I'm desiring this device...

i know theres services that will plate the bezel with gold/platinum/crystals but im not sure if they do the frets, blackberry name and the touchpad too, worth asking them. you can also get the gold bezels from ebay for around �50 but i wouldnt trust that theyre real gold plate

I have a bold 9900 which i tried changing into a gold bezel but its somehow affecting the functionality of the phone, so now i want a 9900 thats actually made as gold instead of playing around the current 9900 turning it into gold.

Search for "BlackBerry gold olympians" for a raft of stories about the initial recipients of these devices. There was likely a limited production run, but some may show up on Ebay after the BB10 devices are released.

I just installed a complete white housing with gold trim on a 9930 I had in the house. I had planned to eBay it, but after seeing it I might start using this one.

You can buy any color bezel on amazon or eBay and install it. Nothing limited about it, takes 5-10 mins to install.

i used to have a bold 9900 with a customised gold plated bezel. Bought the bezel from goldgenie.com but i prefer the real deal with gold keyboard and battery frame too. The one thats been given to the olympians in south africa.

I'd absolutely buy either of those phones without question. They look really nice. Usually I'm not a fan of gold period but these are well done.

Yeah I agree. I love how it loooks. If you are talking about real, plate gold then goldgenie is the place to go. They have so much gold. But its gonna cost you...
