So, I plugged my 9900 into device manager today, and upgraded to the latest official AT&T software version. Including the music that I had on the device, there was 3.5 gb used up. Once I upgraded, 3.5GB was used, excluding my music. And I have no other media on my phone. I know I can get a memory card, but that doesn't answer my question. Has anyone had a problem with losing storage after an update? And is there a way to FIX it? Am I just a noob? Thanks for your help!

so before the upgrade your total used was 3.5gb?
now post upgrade your used space excluding music is 3.5gb.

I would say its just reading it wrong.

Do a battery pull on the phone, disconnect it from the PC, reboot PC and re connect everything. I am sure your problem will go away.

if you have all the content on your pc..
then format memory and see if it's free.
or use file manager to see what's consuming so much.
    ...
connect to pc and see what files are taking so much space....
