    Thanks for share.
I have found the OS1098 have a bug. If 9900 display language change to Chinese, the time zone auto updated to "Ulaan Bataar(+8)". I change to "Beijing, Hongkong (+8)", time is wrong, early 1:30. Change display language to English, time zone auto updating is correct.
    Hello,
Kind of the same thing that's happening for me. If I set the time to GMT+1 Paris time, then phone is 1 hour early. It was set to GMT+1 Amman time after the OS update...

    Hello,

I updated by Bold 9900 using ELITE1's OS UPGRADE GUIDE. After when I double clicked "Loader.exe", it asked me about apps like FB, Messenger etc. I selected all apps and clicked Next and it INSTANTLY said that "Software updated successfully" or something like that and phone didn't even get restarted. I was confused because it didn't even take one minute :/

I checked my BB and it's still on v7.0.0.585, Platform 5.0.0.734
I tried battery pull couple of times as well but no help.

Also, I am in Pakistan so, I confirmed with my friend whether it's safe to install or not, but he said it's safe after deleting vendor file, so I deleted that before updating and as per steps.

Please help, what I am doing wrong? I am new to BB :/

    Thanks!

I guess there is no one to help. From yesterday, I am searching for the solution and found that there would be number of Vendor.xml , so I found another Vendor file, deleted it but still I am not getting this OS in my Loader. Tried uninstall/install of both Blackerry Software and OS as well, cleaned the registry, restarted my pc, in short, I have tried everything that was possible but still I have got no help.

    Can someone please help me???????????????????

Yes, there is another hidden vendor.xml file in there somewhere. I had a really hard time figuring out how to find it, but I finally did. Until you find it, you will not be able to load the OS.

Unfortunately, I cannot remember what I did to finally find it. I think there was one post somewhere in one of my searches that pointed me to the right place. Sorry about not being more help.

finally put Windows on my Mac so i can update my BlackBerry's. This seems like a big improvement in battery life, browser speed, and in general running quicker everywhere from the last release AT&T had .804 or something.

    9900M_PBr7.1.0_rel2940_PL5.1.0.705_A7.1.0.1098_Cla ro___Argentina.exe

This is a multi-language version... if I remember correctly, this version does not contain Asian language.

The version of the OS that was installed on my Bold 9900 was:

    "9900AllLang_PBr7.1.0_rel2930_PL5.1.0.701_A7.1.0.1 0 98_O2_UK.exe"

I recently upgraded to the version of the OS:

    "9900M_PBr7.1.0_rel2940_PL5.1.0.705_A7.1.0.1098_Cl a ro ___ Argentina.exe"

They said that with this release the OS was more fluid and ran better, but this version on my Bold ends the battery very fast, I ended up re-install the version that had previously (rel2930)

I do not know if it's just me that this situation happens, or if someone more user also checks this problem ...
