Official 9900 OS 7.1.0.912 (T-mobile US) and 7.1.0.861 (5.1.0.606) New Zealand: These are the worst OS I've installed on BB 9900. Escape/Return very poor response. BBM, WhatsApp, Poynt very poor interface. Most useful and less frustration OS is 7.

I need help and suggestions.
First the problem: I'm using BB9900 with OS7.1/2508 (v7.1.0.912/5.1.0.641), and am having He(double heck) using escape/return key to exit from any (I mean any) current window -- Four, maybe 5 to 6 clicks of escape/return are needed. With earlier op systems this did not seem to be a problem. I have installed more recent OS's, downgraded to earlier OS's. None of which seems to give a OS that works without causing super frustrations on my part NOW. I don't recall having this kind of difficulty with my old 9800. I'm on T-Mobile in souith-central Texas 4G on 9900, 3G on 9800.
Second: Only Apps installed and operating: "Standard BB OS-related apps, BeWeather Pro 7, Facebook andTwitter.
No BlackBerry Messenger, No BB App World. All media is stored on media card. No media stored on Built-in Media Storage.

What do I need to do to install good old Blackberry Op Sys that really works reliably? This issue has been going on for several weeks. Upgrades, downgrades, multiply hard battery bulles, etc., etc., etc have not solved the problem. I'm literate in BB Desktop, Loading from Program files>Common>RIM>Apploader(deleted vendor.xml)>Shared, Etc.and have used BBSAK.

Try using the End hang up key. It should get you back to the home screen. Alternatively, hold down the bb key and select from the open apps. Hope this works for you. I'm in NE Mass but know Tyler.
