Well, if the file won't uncompress, then obviously the file is corrupted. And you can't delete vendor.xml files if you can't uncompress the file because they aren't there yet. This user is stuck at step one.

There is a problem with the file they downloaded.

th 2nd vendor.xml is hidden in desktop manager folder and wont let you extract the new os file, delete it first and you will be able to install the new os. good luck

Strange. Downloaded and installed the software but neither Desktop Manager or BBSAK can find an installed software on my pc. Even apploader doesn't do anything. Any suggestions?

Yup, you still have a vendor.xml file on your PC. Find it and delete it.

I also checked ate the .440 forum, if it would include the Arabic, and will work with Vodafone Egypt, and the answer was yes provided I delete the vendors file. Can I assume the same here ?

Yes that is correct as long you delete vendor files[TWO] you can load them all

how is battery life? my battery life on 440 is horrid.

Possible you have many other issues that are affecting your battery life - my 9900 gets far better battery on this OS than all previous ones.

i just noticed after i install the official 9900 OS 7.0.0.439 from WIND Canada. and test everything, some of my voice command are not recognized by the phone. can you please check your voice command guys? Waiting for the response. Thanks.

Works fine on .440. Have you trained it yet on the new OS?

If English isn't your 1st language and /or you have any background noise, you'd better train it. It's not as good at V/R as the 9780 was and it needs training, to say the least!

I have tried to use the Loader but it seems that only the 3rd party apps are being installed/reinstalled. The OS I downloaded won't show up. Even if the vendor.xml is deleted, I have also tried to restart my PC but its still the same.

Are you guys having same duplicate txt message issue. Since I got this OS most of the time when i get txt msg back duplicate gets created (draft) green next to it, above. WTF?! Tried 440 as well same thing.....Just now im trying to wipe it with BBSK 100 pro. and upload once again with WIND mobile 439 :> damnnnnnn so annoying ;/

It works without problem for my contracts with Tango (Luxemburg), O2 (Germany), SwissCom (Switzerland), Orange (France). You just need to delete all vendor.XML files!!

I think I find .353 better as well. Some of my BBM contacts' name got messed up, with 353 it shows the letters inside a circle, now on .439 her name is just boxes.

Still looking for some bugs. BeBuzz's LED sometimes doesn't stop blinking, or maybe it's the app's bug itself.

I hope we get a more stable OS version sooner.
