That statement only tells me that he accomplished the vendor.xml deletion, not the OS install.

edit: Actually to be more specific, that he enabled the hidden files/folders to get to the vendor.xml files.

if i back up te device and then whipe it, will i lose the pictures and mp3's on the device memory?
now you wont....but you will loose your apps if you dont backup them(bbsak)

It helps a lot if you read thoroughly before posting an answer. He clearly asked if it'll wipe media on the device memory not a media card.

To answer your question the answer is yes. If you wipe the device you'll lose everything stored on it. Anything that's on your memory card, though, will remain untouched.
you are wrong, of you've never backed up you phone. on desktop manager says "back up device" not "back up memory card" so if somebody backs up device, he looses nothing when he restores, except apps that should be backed up with bbsak or any other program

Why/how did it take you 15 instances before you thought to run an anti-virus program and remove any malware from your PC?
I am starting to believe BlackBerry Torcher was correct...

I have done all of that. I have updated in the past, but now after going through ALLLLL of Elite's Steps I Still cannot update At all. I use Vendelete Everytime and Still Cannot update. The hidden/uncommon type files box is CHECKED to make sure EVERYTHING is in view and that Nothing is hiding. I have uninstalled, deleted, restarted my computer 5 times Wednesday Night. Just Can't update anymore.

No they haven't as far as I can see. The "W" shortcut to bring up open tabs is still working here.
I like that shortcut as well.
Have you tried a battery pull or two?

Got to be the best OS release so far. Only been running it for 4 days now but battery life is amazing, hardly any memory leak at all and the signal strength is far superior to any other release. On the downside, still no improvement with WIFI signal strength.

did you wipe before making the installation? do you use BeWeather, BeBuzz or Hookt Messenger at all? I am averaging 50MB memory leak per day with this OS, and with any OS for that matter....but I never did a wipe before any installation; And i also use those 3 apps that i mentioned regularly. It is not that I am overly concerned about the leak since i can do a reset or a battery pull after a couple of days or so, but i just want to pinpoint the cause of the leak.

No, I will not ever use "Be" apps. They are more trouble than they are worth. I have never wiped before an install because the install wipes anyway.
