I have been having an issue with my Bold 9930 that started a couple weeks ago. When I type a text message or an email the phone will input the symbol that corresponds to the letter I am typing. It does it a lot on the "a". When I want to type an "a" the phone inputs a *. I am not pushing the alt key. It does not do this all the time and not on all letters. When it does this I have go back through my message and delete the symbol and retype the letter. Sometimes I have to push the letter 3-4 times on the keyboard to get it type the letter instead of the symbol. I have a feeling resetting the phone my be my only option to fix but I wanted to see if anyone else had an idea before I did that.

Update your OS. Wiping is completely unnecessary. The latest official from Sprint would certainly suffice.
