It has been said a few times, that keyboard mapping is set at factory and can�t be modified. But since two 7.1 OS leaks revert QWERTZ mapping to QWERTY, it�s obvious that it can be modified at some software level.
Recently I have been experiencing the double space bar key problem, so I replaced the keyboard myself. The problem is that qwertz keyboards aren�t available anymore, so I had to fit a qwerty keyboard to my phone.
Does anyone know which OS cod file correspond to keyboard mapping, so I can swap only this file form the leaked qwerty only OSs?
I found a post that solved this problem on the reverse direction, replacing net_rim_tid_dynamic_ling cod files from another OS versions to the only qwerty leaks. http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...7-vs-z-686608/
I will try to do it on the reverse direction and see if it works.
