This came up in an earlier thread about lighting but not specifically the key backlighting. Just wanted to take a quick poll to see if indeed the key backlighting on the 9900 is lower in brightness than the 9700/9780 or do I have a defective unit?

I sold my 9700+9780 so I can't do a side by side comparison.

    Thanks.

The keyboard back lighting changes as screen back light its increased or decreased. I'm not sure if the 97XX did that.

Seems like the 9900 lighting is constant at one level I.e. There is no variance to the brightness. Its either on or off

Mexico but what does the LED have to do with the key backlight or how it compares to the 9700?
