So, i finally buckled down and got the bold 9900. I've been reading these forums and have been reluctant to purchase it and been contemplating it for the last few months. I got the iphone 4s, upgrading from a bb 9780 but it did not statisfy my needs. I have an ipad that sits around and doesnt get used. Guess im not much of an app guy. Sold the iphone 4s and used the money for a bb 9900. So far it's been solid and i havent had much of a battery issue like ive been reading about. I just hope it doesnt brick on me one day when i wake up.
So a question: how do i stop the msg from opening automatically when i take it out of the holster? I try to do a search history but i cant find the settings with the new bold 9900, im not sure if the menu layout is different from the previous one because i couldnt find it with those instructions. Can anyone offer a step by step? Thanks!
1. Open up messages
2. Hit the menu button
3. Select options
4. Open Message Display and Actions
5. Scroll down to Auto Open Newest Message
6. Set that value to "never"
