Installed the last hour. So far everything is working well. My memory leaks the past hour have calmed down. i'll know more tomorrow. FINALLY the update for Rogers is out.
It took me almost two hours to install the official release by Rogers and restore my data onto my Rogers BB9900.
First day, my hourly drainage rate was about 4.88%, but now, day two, it's at 6.59%. This was also with MINIMAL use: 2 emails/ hr, 1 sms/hr. It's only 4:51 PM and and I'm already down to 30%. I'd usually be at about 60-70%.
My analyzer tells me since friday, discharge rate is 3.36%. Today was the first big test... Bbming all day, been unplugged for 12 hrs and I'm at 36% battery. Oh and a few emails sent and received today.
I just called Rogers and the tech support agent told me he's been getting a lot of calls about fast drainage since customers have upgraded to the official OS release by Rogers.
He said I can either send it in for repairs (since it's still under warranty) or pay $35 to have a refurbished phone and battery sent to me.
Fixed. Wiped with BBSAK, downloaded the OS, and then used AppLoader...
Very strange. In theory there shouldn't be a difference between using AppLoader and DM, am I correct?
I tried DM twice but to no avail. Weird.
Anyway, thanks hieupham.
Usually I delete Vendor files and I'm good, wipe from device, afterwhat Loader will recognise the handset (turn mobile ntw ON!) and update.
If no then I remove the battery and Update it w/o the battery ^^
I like update via Loader moar as it allows to choose various installational options etc etc.
Glad you updated w/o any probs, how is the OS? I'm at office now, so.....
I normally have an outage on my phone in the same area everyday but last night it was fine. I don't know if it was me driving through quickly or the service.
Battery savings mode has been a huge plus for me. Let's see how Day 2 holds up.
Still wasn't getting the OTA (probably because I'm on a leaked .205) so plugged into DM last night and the update popped up! I also had previously downloaded the leaked .402 last week. Decided to do a full back-up first and it froze 90% of the way . Restarted my computer, plugged my 9900 back in and now it won't even recognize it *sigh*.
