Trying to add a newer version onto my 9900. Here is what is happening

When I install the update and then go into program files/common/ etc....

I see the AppLoader folder there showing an install date etc of tonight but when i go in to delete the Vendor file I see all files in there from many many months ago under date modified.

Its like the update isn't loading and I guess that's why the DM isn't loading it.

I have the most recent DM?

I've been updating BB's firmware for years.

Ive deleted and reinstalled the DM and searched for older firmware versions.

    I'm stumped?????

I have seen it advised to delete all previous OS on your computer as you can redownload them if needed. This will allow DM to see which OS you are trying to load on your phone.

I agree and I have deleted all that I can see.

Isn't there only ever one at a time?

    Held in that file?

Shouldnt the date modified or installed on all the files in the AppLoader be a recent date seeing as how the newest release only came out like 5 days ago.

The install of the lastest version seems to be completing but somethings wrong.

That and the battery life on this device is a joke.

Both of them. I deleted one of them. I've never had to delete two of them?

Can I just clarify that this new OS was pushed to you from your carrier so that when you open up your Dm and plug in your BB it looks for updates and tells you thatyou have a new OS?

If this is true you can delete all your previous OSs from add/remove programs but because this is an official app from your carrier you need not delete any vendor.xml files. That is only if you are installing a leak from another carrier.

So that is really the only 2 things you should worry about.
