    Any idea how to boost the image quality in the browser? Really not liking the compression artifacts.

    You'll have to either connect to WiFi, or use a third party browser like Opera Mini (assuming there's an OS7 compatible version released).

    That is a bummer, but I did just get a new MiFi 4510L from Verizon for free so I will have 4G with me.

    So this is because of the normal compression on BIS or is there even more compression on the 99xx browser specifically? Thx for clarifying.

    Nope. Images quality looks identical to the 9800 (without considering resolution), which leads me to the conclusion that the compression algorithms are the same.
