Every time I receive a email with images the images do not download automatically I have click the BB button and select get images. I have checked my settings and the download images automatically box is checked. Any ideas?

I think it doesnt work out of the box. I use showmetheimages. Just set download for to "all" and pictures will be downloaded everytime you open your mail.

Tried downloading showmetheimages but it states not compatable with my device?

Is auto downloading image attachments a need for bb users then?

I worked with this area of bb development as a developer on an app call Home Screen Me, this app auto downloads images attached to emails but only if the subject matches a chosen keyword and then sets the image as the wallpaper!

Maybe I could tweak the code to download all images attached to emails??

You should check out for a small settings change in your Download manager.
