I've had mine since launch day early morning and I haven't had any issues except for the battery at first. After first couple of days the battery was very good. To this day, I have been very impressed with this phone. Its been really great. I've done powerpoint presentations on my phone even when I had a chance to do it on my computer bc of this amazing keyboard. Also, the battery now has impressed me a lot, it lasts over 24 hours of heavy use during the day and no use at night.
Overall, great great phone, I love it and I would recommended to anyone looking for the best BB experience yet.

Just because AT&T changed the icon on the 9900 to say 4G doesn't mean they put in an actual 4G LTE radio in it. Its the same radio that's in the other 9900's and the same radio in the 9810 so it really is still only H+(fauxG). The change in icon doesn't make it faster.
I was not referring to speed or whether it was true 4G but only that the icon was different from the OP post.

Why would deleting the social feeds apps improve battery life? Assuming you never launched them.
You can de-select the social networking apps so that no updates occur and RSS updates can modified as well.

Lower screen brightness and close apps that you are not using. Don't set apps to refresh on restart. Close browser pages not being used. The BeAlert app is great for managing open apps.

Just picked my 9900 up yesterday, set it all up and I am liking it thus far. I tried to upgrade the stock att os of .440 to .540 and nuked the handset and got the old "App error 602" for whatever reason, some specific file of the .540 OS came up as "incapatable" and didn't allow to fully install the OS, reloaded .440 and have been off to the races ever since.

When the person that helped me at the att store unboxed the the phone I checked where it was made and I have a mexico made unit so we shall see how it holds up.

The question I have is did the 9900 always come with "4G" capability?

So does it just say "4G" for the **** of it? Cause I have yet to log enough time to make a complete and full diognosis of if it is any faster, at the moment I feel it is the same the the 3G but we shall see....

It will run faster in areas where the upgraded networks are available by market.

don't know how many ways to spell LOVE IT! I cannot stop putting my hands on it! it is so nice to hold, better than the 9000 ! went from the Torch,so getting used to a small screen again,is tough. but , this is such an awesome phone, I cannot stop picking it up. and the 4g is def. noticeable, and on wifi , it flies!

one issue for me is ,I would have preferred the speaker on the top ,like the Torch 9800 and the 9000. when I have pandora streaming in the holster, it muffles it a bit, have to put it upside down, the torch and BOLD 9000 was better in this respect. another thing I noticed. I don't have an official holster, but this fits in the torch one, but, the phone does not go dark in this holster. has that been disabled in OS 7?

I still find it so hard to justify a $200 purchase of a Blackberry knowing that I can get a better experience with a equally or less expensive iPhone or Android phone.
My upgrade price from costco online was $49.00! nothing ventured ,nothing gained! and, worth it!

NO, the Bold 9900 is not true 4G LTE, it's only HSPA+ which the carriers use to market their phones as "4G" even though technically they are not. The Bold 9900 on AT&T has simply changed an icon, instead of saying H+, now it says 4G. Nothing else is different.

No, it has not been disabled, apparently the torch's holster sleeper manent is not in the proper place to function correctly with the 9900.

You'll have to get a 9000 holster for it to go to sleep mode in the holster.

the core fb, twitter and 4square apps were set up...but I didn't really use social feeds, and i had auto update either off or the longest refresh time intervals. i read some other threads here, and i deleted the social feeds app since i didn't really utilize it. and the battery life improved drastically. just my experience with it.

30 days and still no bricking. Build is still solid. No issues, software or hardware. Running stock OS, battery life is pretty decent. The device is still very snappy and a joy to use. This is the first berry with a Seidio Surface case and holster that i put on before i even got it. Runs very well with three dozen apps. Don't miss the AF camera. There are indications of an OS update just before Christmas from AT&T.

Just got mine today, installed .540 right away, and absolutely love it. This is the phone I've really wanted ever since switching to BlackBerry with a Bold 9000 as my first BB. Have had 9700,9800,9810, and 9900 is my favorite. Love the Bold form factor! Keeping this phone for a long time.

I have had my 9900 for little over a week now and I love it! I pre-ordered a leather pouch for it so I was ready with a case-in-hand when I went in to buy it. (I had to wait 3 weeks after release date for my contract to be up.) I do not like the AT&T address book since now I have duplicate addresses showing up, since I have to keep the "allow duplicate" box checked for my Googles to sync. But that is my only complaint, and it is minor.
