I've had my 9900 since November 20 and I am absolutely delighted with it. Using a stock AT&T OS and everything works well. So far, so good.

AT&T seems to be stable; not many reports of bricking that I can see. Looks like I will take the plunge. I just keep hoping that AT&T will offer a Christmas sale. Might be wishful thinking, but I can hope.

I've seen them for 1 on line for a new account. Hunt around. I will continue to pay full retail in the local store until such time as they sell me a device that is not a paragon of reliability and durability. Then I will get over THAT silly superstition and move on.

No issues here. I just want the new OS and new BB now :P.

I'm just hoping RIM can catch up with the functionality of iOS/Android.

Runs Fantastic with 7.1. I tried all the other OS's except for .585 and they all had issues. One issue they had in common was slow and choppy browsing speed. 7.1 does away with that.

Currently its only being tested with the 9900. I expect a version for 9810 & 9860 this week but the roll out will likely be after the 1st of January...

So, has any brave soul let their AT&T 9900 battery die?

I never let mine die. I turn it off every night and charge it. While in the office, it sit charging when I am not using it. Battery life is fine but better since OS .576.

After two months, my first issue happened yesterday when my battery was not charging. A message popped up that the charging source could not charge the battery. I pulled the battery and it is now charging. A glitch caused by OS .576? This did not happen on the stock AT&T OS.

I'm having major problems w my att blackberry, the track pad never wants to work, it would take me literrally 3-4 battery pull to get it scrolling, and when it does its doesn't work correctly, I've try all the diff os from stock to .576 to .590 to the newest 7.1 leak, trackpad still not fix, also the newest os for att .576 is the worst, I get random reboots, and yesterday while the phone sat on my table, it would just scroll and highlight random things, time for me to either exchange or return this phone. I've never had a blackberry that have this many problems, even the old 9700 I used was a lot better than this. My unit is the one made in mexico btw.

LOVE my Bold 9900 on AT&T.
Still running OS .440, the OS it ships with. My ONLY gripe, when I hide icons, they reappear out of nowhere. But no phone is perfect. Still haven't plugged in my phone to DM, wondering if a new official AT&T OS has been made available?
If not, what OS will make my phone stable? The battery, and the "hiding" glitch.
Other than that, love my AT&T Bold upgraded to this on Jan 2, 2012, not thinkin' twice about it. Hope RIM has something good for CES.

Hi all ...Getting my AT&T 9900 next weekend (Jan 14) ..Can't wait ! I'd also like to know if I should update the OS straight out of the box. What is the best OS ? I wish AT&T had the "white" 9900 for sale !!

It sounds like the device is the issue. If you are outside your 30 day window, do a warranty exchange.

If you need to do a back up and device switch, do that first. Then, make sure that you have the most DM version. Download and install the latest AT&T OS. Open DM and have fun.

Nope. I have not let it die on me yet. The battery goes down to 30 or 29 percent then it gets plugged in for charging.
I easily got in 18 hours on one charge today with light/medium usage from 241 AM this morning to 815 pm. I am using .503.

Everyone still happy? I've decided that I would rather have the 9790, but AT&T doesn't seem a lock to get it. The 9700 has treated me great, but am ready to upgrade. It's getting easier to justify purchasing an 9900. Besides...it's the phone of choice for the kardashian clan.
