Experienced my first issue today with my new 9900, so felt I should share it here, since I stated previously that I would be posting my personal experience with the device as I spent more time using it (which in all honesty I still haven't had much time to really dig-into it per-se, but have since installed some basic apps, i.e. Twitter, Facebook, Socialscope, Google Sync, and Pandora.)
Yesterday it DID lose BIS connectivity at one point (and today again), which was rectified by briefly turning on and off the "Mobile Networks" selection. The kicker for me is below.
I was at work most of the day until about 8:30pm (EST) tonight, and I only checked it whenever I heard an alert (it spent most of the day in my pocket in other words.) When I finally got-off work tonight, I went to make a phone call and found that the LED indicator was faintly flashing repeatedly (and I'm not quite sure how long it had been doing-so. I unlocked the screen, went into my Messages, scrolled around with the trackpad, and decided that it would be in my best interest to take a quick trip to a corporate AT&T store, although unfortunately not the same one I purchase it at since they had already closed at 8:00pm. I went to another nearby corporate store I knew was open until 9:00pm to have an actual employee document the issue. He happily obliged my request and had even mentioned that if they "had any in-stock" (wow, they ACTUALLY sold-out of them...who would've thunk it
) he would have gladly exchanged it for me on the spot. Unfortunately that is not the case, and I will be making a trip back to the original store I purchased it at (and pray they still have a few left) to have it exchanged. I did a battery pull after I left the AT&T store, and so-far it seems to have rectified the issue, and maybe I'm being a tad-bit picky, but I'm not one to wait until the very last minute to say "well I've been having this issue since day one."
UPDATE: Went to the store EARLY this morning and had the device exchanged. Lucky for me the store I originally purchased it at had TWO left (again, who would have predicted that they would be sold-out or close to it. ) The sales person who assisted me asked "how do you like this new Blackberry?" I kept it simple, by just saying: "This is the BEST Blackberry I've owned to-date." Moving-on, the new device is also a Mexico 4 build. So far, so good with this one, although still too early to really tell. I honestly am still in awe of what an amazing job RIM did with this Blackberry overall (and how well it works on AT&T's network.) Will post updates if anything else occurs, but I'm honestly not too concerned. With ANY Electronic device, there is always a chance to get a lemon when you're an "early adopter."

11-07-11 09:42 PM - ATT 9900 mexico 4 immediately updated OS to .474. I nuked it within the first 24 hrs screwing around with loading NFC COD files just for fun and accidentially removed all cod's files in BBSAK instead of just the one I was trying to remove
.Anyway it seems pretty resilient to me.It was totally nuked to where DM wouldn't even read that there was an OS on my device.I tried several times to launch loader re-boot phone etc...Then a BBSAK wipe,power up device run loader from BBHT while it was powering up and it was back!!!as far as I can see this is a rock solid device.Battery compareable to Torch.The wide touchscreen/large keyboard combo is fantastic.I thought I would miss my Torch screen size but I don't at all.I actually prefer the screen on the Bold after only a couple days of use. Everything else about it is super fast and fluid compared to my Torch and the Browser speed and keyboard are SaaaaWeeeeettttt!!I'm totally loving this Bold.If you are due for an upgrade go try this BB out in the store!!!Last edited by SevendustG; 11-18-11 at 03:22 PM.
