...not because I am unsatisfied with the device. The keyboard is awesome, OS7 looks good, the browser and the touchsreen are amazing but I can't stand with the form factor. I thought I Could adapt to the size of the classic Bold but it's not possible. I love the dimensions of my 9780 and I will wait for the 9790 now.

Nevertheless the 9900 is the best BlackBerry I've ever seen!

You said nothing wrong. the problem is that you said anything negative about the 9900. There are people here who give their unconditional love and cry if anyone disses their baby.

What is sad if they find the slightest defect or even think there is a defect on their 9900, they will turn on it like a pack of rabid dogs!

That's true, but I said nothing against the 9900, in fact I said it's the best BB ever. I just said that the size of it doesn't fit to my personal requirements. That's all.

Munich, as one who currently has the Bold 9650 and has not yet held the 9900 or even the original 9000, I appreciate you comments. Don't let others who have nothing better to do put you down. Some of us don't spend all day researching every tech product. Good luck.

The same threads were all over the board when the 9000 came out, you can probably still find some in there. I loved that form and keyboard, but it is not for everyone.

OP, I can understand your point. I thought the Bold 9000 was just too big for me and was worried about the size of the 9930, but after using it for a few days I knew it was a keeper. I wouldn't mind if it were a bit more narrow, but its just an awesome device and I think it being so thin compensates a little for the wideness. It doesn't feel as big overall as the 9000 to me.

Don't listen to the negative posts here - its about what's right for you.

It doesn't matter how many reviews one looks at, or videos, or specs, or even going to the store to check out a device in person. The truth is, you'll never truly know what a device is like until you've owned it. Even for a short while. The OP can post about it if they so choose. What are the forums for, then? As can be seen, it gives many of us the opportunity to wish them well with their new device(s).

My advice would be; give it some time.

Although, when I got the 9900 it never felt big to me.

The 9900 brings me back to the days of the 7xxx series that felt like holding a plate to your head. I think they have a device in mind for people that don't want the larger form factor: Pictures of a BlackBerry 9790? What is This Device? - BerryReview

Looks like that may just be the perfect replacement for you, now they just need to release it!

Op you made the right choice, its YOU that you are using the phone not us , so if you prefer the 9790 form factor go ahead and return the 9900 and when the 9790 is out you can then go ahead and purchase it,

Like someone said at least you are not switching to the iPhone 4

I can understand the attraction to the 9790 as the 9700 is a very nice form factor, good battery, one handed ability to use etc. Having said that I don't think I could go back after having the larger touch screen.

Finally got my 9900 on August 15th after patiently waiting for over a year but the wait was well worth it.

It is a bit bigger than my old Tour 9630 but best of all is the keyboard.

Bold 9000 was the best formfactor device. I couldn't wait for this device and love the 9900. Screen real-estate plus touch plus best keyboard on any BB.

the new curve looks cool, but the deal breaker is no touchscreen. once you get used to using the trackpad/touchscreen combo, it is awesome. for me, it's still 2 thumbs...one on the trackpad, one on the screen. and i can fly like a plane.

Nobody has a problem with it. Some people are just surprised that some prefer the 9780 form factor more, they aren't getting defensive. I've tried the 9900 and it is pretty slick, not gonna lie...it runs circles around my storm.
