Well, it'll definitely work until the end of the year, so if you're planning to go to another OS by then there's nothing to worry about.
I'll probably keep using the 9900 because I ordered another battery I have not taken delivery of yet and I migrated a few more important friends to BBM. I was suprised they did not mind putting BBM on their Android and iphones.

So because of this I might use the 9900 even longer than I thought, past the demise of Whatsapp's death sentence later this year and if need be I still have the iphone 5C

Hopefully can keep using it for another year. ( or so )

I prefer my Bold over my Z10 .

Viber wasnt the greatest even on Iphone, it would crash occasionally, maybe by now they fixed it. It looks like it is not available for the 9900. Line was what I was using until I discovered whatsapp and I was happy to get rid of line, it would jam a lot on 9900

Hadn't realized Viber was no longer available .
It works really well for me . I have used for calls and it is crystal clear .
( calls from Mexico / Canada sometimes have a slight delay )

Since it is also for desktop , makes it very useful for sending pictures , documents between devices .
Hope it will also continue to function for a while longer !

The update appears ok - it adds E2E crypto & the app still works on my 9900 quite happy.

The only thing I did notice today was - under account settings where it used to say how long your service was valid for - that's now gone... Besides that can't see any other issues so far.

They announced it will be free and no more fee of .99 each year so that's probably why we are seeing that info missing.
