You will have to use a computer to do it.

So weird and bad, why not letting the user decide? I have my dataplan and want to send my video with my wireless device, not a computer... Im more and more surprised by what this device is stopping you to do.... Digging more...

RIM are you listening? Hello? What? Eum! Lol

I thought in OS7 users are allowed to send/receive 8MB of files.
OP can you post your video file size.

You likely need to complain to your carrier. That's typically where the limitations originate.

But don't hold your breath expecting it to change.

There is an option to upload it to youtube. Unless you find an app to reduce the resolution and video quality, most videos will be too big to email, even from a pc.

We just got a new puppy too and the send to youtube option is what I used to share it. You may have to setup the youtube account from from a browser window before it works. In my case the downloads failed until I went on the playbook and set up the account.

You could always use a fileshare website to store your media, then send your mom the link. Saves space on your device too if you delete after storing.

The limitation may also be effected by your data pkg limits. Call your carrier and ask. Let us know what they say.
