I pull the battery once per day not because I need to but because I have two batteries and alternate them pretty much daily.

I'd say once every 2 weeks - a month. (That includes any app updates that requires a reboot, I don't pull the battery every month.)

Once every couple months and I'm a heavy user... Did it for first time this summer today, I think. I don't think I'm missing out on performance... Works much better than my previous two BB phones.

I usually do a battery pull once per week, but I just went almost two weeks and had only lost about 60mb of memory.

agree with a bunch of folks here. I am running .580 and it seems too have become a better device as a result. I am only pulling the battery once a week and that's when I change my battery every Sunday.

The question is... is it necessary to do a regular battery pull? I can understand it if the phone has froze, or a problematic app is playing up. But pulling the battery for pulling's sake!!!!

Its great, I think many of us can agree that we used to have to pull the battery out daily. I don't even hear it as much now from people with blackberries.

used to be daily, because I was getting the spinning clock often. But ever since I've upgraded to the latest OS 7.1 .580 build I haven't had to. I believe the new Application Resource Monitor is handling things very well.

I installed it about a month ago and haven't battery pulled since. Its the most stable OS by far.

It seems that I do it less and less these days. I used to do it twice a day before due to various issues.

The OS has gotten very functional.

Almost never I must say. I soft reboot will often do the trick. I do a battery pull only to change my SIM card when I fly to another country

Thats great, the software has improved over time where we don't need these pulls. I don't even remember why I did pulls, probably freezes and messages/emails not arriving.

Never. I only restart when I uninstall apps or anything else that requires me to. And what's great is that a reboot takes my 9930 literally 60 seconds! Quite an improvement over 10 mins on my Tour 9630 haha!
    Exactly this but I had a Curve 8520 and now a 9320.

I do a soft reset once a week but with .580 I only need to do a battery pull twice a month. That's just me though.

You shouldn't have to do a battery pull. I've never had to do one.

Sometimes the device can be sluggish or not receive messages, battery pull fixes it.

When the phone locks up, about once every 6 weeks. Its usually a freebie I couldn't resist.
Otherwise a simple alt+shift+del works just fine since its the same as a battery pull.

My phone seems to have periods every few months where I'll need to pull the battery every day and then it's fine for awhile. Have to say since I downloaded the latest Rogers update (I'm on Virgin) it has been amazing and no battery pulls .... Yet
