When I was first thinking about going back to legacy, I bought a sim card adapter so I could go between the Z and my 9780. I admit that at $12.00 it cost more than a new sim card but it allowed me to switch devices at will. That was good enough for me.

I have mine since Nov 2011. However its' life span is probably coming to an end since the last couple of weeks it freezes, reboots and for some reason it loses it signal to all networks (even in areas with full coverage) and I have to hard reset it and still it may won't start....

Also with both my batteries there are moments where the the device shows a battery with a Red X on Top and i will have to hard reset the phone to work.

It's a pitty though since it was a great device with an amazing keyboard and solid Manufacturing.
A new battery is definitely in order. That alone could fix things up for you significantly.

Got replaced BlackBerry 9900 with Z10. Missing that premium business class feel without keyboard. I would like to try Q10 for now but without trackpad it's a big no. Waiting for BB9900 to arrive soon. By the way replacing Z10....

Looks like you are in the majority. Enjoy the 9900. You nailed it by saying you missed the "business" feel. Everything about the 9900 is business/communication/productivity. Love it.

Just want to mention that Bob McKenzie of TSN is still rocking a 9900 . Pierre LeBrun of TSN/ESPN is using a newer Curve I believe. Extremely busy, well-known hockey insiders, still using BBOS. That's pretty sick in my mind.

    Got both Z10 and 9900...
Use two of it as daily driver.. one for work and one for private..

But the simpleness of 9900 makes it a carry around..

Still have mine as a back-up phone. Got it the day it came out, tried iOS for a year, and then used my 9900 till my Q10 arrived. The only problem I had..err..still have with it is the back/battery door cover. I've gone through three. The current one is barely hanging on and will randomly just detach in my hand...super annoying. For some reason, that damn cover always breaks on me.

For old times sake, I still turn mine on every once in a while. Simply love the keyboard on it and such a well-built, great-looking device.

Bought my 9900 as soon as it was available in the UK (2 years 6 months?) and then kept it as a back up when I bought the Z10. But the keyboard, the classic design and BIS mean that I now use it more than the Z10. Have replaced the battery cover ( 7/ $11) and the keyboard (3/$5). I'm intrigued by the long-life battery and if that worked then the 9900 would be perfect

I bought a 9900 for personal use the day it launched in August 2011. A few months later, I was issued one at work too, so was wielding dual 9900s for a while. I bought a Z10 for myself February 2013, but still to this day have a 9900 for work use.
