    Open the browser, blackberry button, options, manage search engines, select google, blackberry button, set as default.

    On my Vzw 9930 I can't add google, it says so...strange. It won't even accept the address ie Google

    Menu > Options > Manage Search Engines then name it google and put this for the address: http://www.google.com/m/search?q=%s

    Works for 9930. Finally rid of Bing on Verizon!

    I was able to switch to Google on my Verizon 9930. Remember to indicate that Google is the default selection.

    Bing is new MS+RIM affair..
    You can turn off web search during universal search..
    Check options>>devices>>search
    ..
    Disable it and get rid of dumb feature.
