    i have a blackberry bold 5 9900, which is encrypted with a password and i was unable to remove it, even while trying to flash, it still ask for password and after pressing a wrong password once the app will hang. please guys what is the best solution?

    Might be a BES policy not letting you take the password off. Have you turned encryption off too?

    Enter the password incorrectly ten times in a row, then type BlackBerry at the prompt and then another incorrect attempt and it will wipe it. Also, you cannot flash a BlackBerry, you can only update the device software via the BlackBerry desktop software or via BBSAK (you'll have to install the device software before doing so).

    If it's encrypted, you might first want to remove encryption, from the security or storage parameters.
