Makes me wonder why they do these things. Why lock these down, why not allow a camera mute app and why put such coding on the battery to force that stupid coding of the few extended ones out there? Why are they locking all this stuff down?

Because a silent camera it's illegal ( Rim wants to sell Worldwide)
and why put such coding on the battery to force that stupid coding of the few extended ones out there?

Because Rim wants to sell their battery first

Why are they locking all this stuff down?
Regarding the videos I guess is beacuse they are really part of OS function and demo features

That also means that they have spread development

You can use vnbbUtils to remove that. (Select "Read System module", then
choose "Core & Addons"..) I have successfully used this on my BB 9320
to remove toolkit videos (all core modules have name of toolkit and
_320x240 (my screen resolution)). I also used it to remove some
not-needed things like help file for other languages . After that my
internal storage is 98% free .

I love BB so i would like to share it with you (who need the solution
for your BB). If there is any problem feel free to let me know (at
ken1901vn at popular google email ), I will try my best to help if possible.

    Thanks,
    Ken
