Okay, I get how to power off my BB 9900. And I know how to lock the keypad. But how can I lock the power button so my BB doesn't automatically power on when any key is pressed? I threw it in my bag when boarding a flight and when I landed found that it had turned itself back on. So it was transmitting alll during the flight and I had a dead battery.

Use a password, or some sort of case... and don't just 'throw it in your bag'.

You could just leave the phone on and switch off your mobile network while on a flight.

Funny, using the standby key on top locks my shut off/on key from activating. What Os are you on? And are you sure your on/off button still works on standby?

    This is the solution.

Or turn off all of your radio connections.
