I have a 9650, and like it very much. I would like a little more screen real estate and better res.

How bad is the battery life of the 9930 vs the 9650??

    Thx !!

Depends on your usage. Like anything, you can drain the battery down pretty quickly if you use it nonstop with all the transceivers up and running.

Hey, I will say it is not the best phone for battery life. But it is the best phone, and worth packing a spare battery which u should do regardless. Worth it. And I will probably pick up another before my next big trip. I hate charging when traveling

The 9930 battery was not great but was tolerable up until the 7.1 update by Sprint. Anyone else experience this? It's pushing me away from Blackberry even though it is a great phone. I replaced with a new battery and same thing! Battery drops from 99.9% to 92% within 30 minutes without use and all applications which can be exited or closed appropriately.......

7.1 OS improved my battery life. 36 hours off the charger and I still had 20% left. The 100% to 92% drop is a glitch in certain 7.0.0.5xx builds and 7.1.0.163.

I get about 13-15 hours with heavy browsing... Normal usage is around 30-36 hours. Coming from Android, this is freaking amazing.

I found this to be the case as well so I downgraded back to 7.0.0.374 and my battery life is much better now.

i think it really depends on your location too.

i know that when i'm in areas with bad reception, it burns the battery on my 9700.

I get 12-14 hrs of use out of mine. As mentioned above, I also have a spare battery when I plan to be away from charger.

My Tour 9630 I could get a day and a half maybe 2 days. But the 9930 with OS7 is soooo much nicer.

I am on second phone as, 1st bricked after 2 months of use. This one seems to have days that it acts weird.
Already looking forward to the new OS10

My average use is moderate to heavy: losts of calls, emails, BBM, texts, internet and I get a solid 18 hours -- even a little more at times.

Much depends on the apps open as well.

I have an extra battery and I have used when I felt necessary. Overall, it's not the best, but it's certainly not as bad as others.

Yes look forward to OS10 but don't count on current devices not runnin it. Just like OS6 devices not running OS7. Its gonna happen. So start savin up or plan on using that upgrade option. I'm rolling with the punches. Easy enough as long as you fit it in the budgie. 9000 to 9700 to 9800 to 9900

Thank you for the replies about battery life.

So it is about, what 25% less than the 9650, or not that much perhaps??

Overall it sounds as if it may be a worthwhile upgrade?

Are you taking a shot at me or are you really curious?

I always ask this when I hear of some claiming they get 2 days of use with moderate usage. I don't think its possible and every time I ask to see some screen shots they never turn up.

With wifi on and very light usage maybe 2 days could be possible.

I just wanna make sure my device is performing as good as it should.

BlackBerry Bold® 9930 using Tapatalk of course.

Haha.. no man. Sorry I wasn't taking a shot at you. Now that I re-read that it sounds like I could've been.

Just curious... it just sounds like you are maybe having bad battery life.

On a normal day I can go from 06:00 to about 18:00 and still have at least 60%. Depends on how much I use it.

To me that sounds like light usage.

I don't get it when someone calls that moderate usage.

If we would all just post some screen shots then there wouldn't be anything left to interpretation.
