So i just bought the 9900 from rogers this week..
i was looking at it today and i noticed a gap at the bottom between the stainless steel bezel and the tiny bezel piece with the metal tabs for the dock on it.....
i didn't drop the phone of course or anything.. i just found a gap...

is this ONLY my phone or do all the 9900's have a gap?
is it worth calling rogers, complaining, and returning it or switching it?

    Thanks in advance

Mine has a small gap like that.

Mine is being returned anyhow because the plastic trim at the base by the enter key was sticking right out when I unboxed it (it was sealed until I got home).

I'd go to another store or go back to that same store to see if the others are like that. I have a feeling it's just the way it is. If you're still within the return policy usage/time, you have an option of returning it.

I'm on the phone with rogers now..
the are giving me a case number to try and return it..
but the store might not take it back since they could say "physical damage.." and say i dropped it...
if they do that.. I'm gonna be so pissed...
    ill give it a shot...
    thanks for replies!..
hope i can get a new one.

The microphone is not in the gap. It is below the right hand capitalize key (the small hole at the bottom of the "chin".

There's no gap in my phone. I have a Mexico 4 build.

I see the hardware issues are still abundant.

Loved my 9700, but went through 4 of them due to hardware issues.

    Hope you get it replaced.

UGH so frustrating.. you pay top buck for a phone, and you have a gap...
thats like buying a ferrari and the fender/door gaps are bad...
    Thats not supposed to happen!

I doubt they wll blame you for dropping it. You would have marked it up if you dropped it with such an impact that it caused it to seperate. I wouldnt lose any sleep over it.

Just as a PSA, always open your phone in the store when you buy in front of the sales person, no matter the brand, to avoid these kinds of issues. Of course if you're buying online you takes your chances on a return. For me it's worth it to do it in person to avoid this stuff.

Sadly, mine as well. the lower right screw is not screwed in enough for the plastic part to sit flush. I plan to return mine after the weekend.
